@jwild611 Yeah, Beli died during or went into hospital and died right after filming and all the scenes with Bela Lugosi are from the first few days of shooting.
-

I KNEW IT! we wont be raised as zombies....but a vampires!

So can someone explain to me the Bela Lugosi thing? I realize the earlier shot in the film was the stand in but at 2:09...that was Bela right??? Then in the next scene at the house(face covered) it was back to the stand-in...am I correct?

No matter what critics say, this 5:13 is a cool image.
-
Love how it goes from day to night to day again in a few seconds.

The pilot's wife has the dumbest lines ever: "You mean the kind from up THERE?" "The flying saucer with be up THERE,but I'll be in THERE"

I hereby dub the male zombie in this scene "The Snuggie Monster." Also, in b4, why the hell does the lady run into the cemetery? I mean, let's think about this. She could lock the door, thus preventing TSM from escaping, and then call a pay phone once she's safe outside. But apparently these characters are forever doomed to be the victims of bad plot devices.

It was his new girlfriend's chiropractor, not his barber, and they only let him show the upper half of his face because he "had Lugosi's ears." The rest of his face was too thin to look enough like Lugosi. However, Ed Wood did use the chiropractor in some of his later movies, where he let him show his whole face.
1. Why the hell didnt she lock her door?
2. Why the hell would she run TO the cemetary?
3. Why the hell am I watching this?

As a fan of MST3K, I've sat through some pretty bad movies. Manos, Monster-a-Go-Go, Terror from the Year 5000, and any number of Roger Corman productions. Some bad movies are really terrible in the literal sense of the word, almost unwatchable. Others are charming, unabashed, and nievely proud. They do their best to please us and would blush at their own mistakes, if they saw them. No matter how poor the special effects, the acting, or editing, Ed Wood has made me smile.
