  • It is common to find that an artist play very well music from a particular composer. This happen too with orchestras and directors. It is uncommon to find that and artist, an orchestra or a director can ply any kind of music and make a beauty of it, disregarding the quality of the piece. Ernst Stolz belong to this elite!!!

  • that is a very sweet comment, thanks!

  • It 's a fact my friends that any folk music which crossed the ocean from the Islands North West of Europe invariably gets referred to as Celtic. I think you'll find this particular one is English, who are very rich in folk music. the great thing about folk is we leave the disputes to politicians and sing about them, or desperate maidens...love and peace people.

  • The program started in 1953 on Madison, Wisconsin radio station WHA-AM. Shortly thereafter, the show was moved to the UW-Madison's WHA-TV. Kinescopes of these shows were distributed to a few other non-commercial stations, and some of them made it to the CBC headquarters in Toronto. At the invitation of Fred Rainsberry, the head of Children's Television at the CBC, in 1958 Bob Homme moved the show to Canada, where it became a staple show for several generations of young viewers.

  • I have loved this tune since I was a child and watched the Friendly Giant on Windsor TV beings I lived on Lake Erie in Michigan we could pick up Canadian TV from Windsor they used this tune for the shows Theme
