@leelaural Sorry, but the problem was decades in the making. Democrats promised freebies, the GOP said, "Me too." The saddest thing is that the deficit prevents the Fed from raising rates since the payment on the national debt would rival SS or Medicare.

The ONLY way out of it - besides running $3-4 annual deficits - is to....print more money. What a disaster and it's all because we want a lifestyle based on massive debt paid by "someone else".

we, had good employment numbers and the housing market was strong, and the stock market was also strong UNTIL the rats took over the House and the Senate in 2006....they controlled both houses....after that, it was all down hill, leading up to the contrived market debacle in sept 2007,...which btw was predicted several months earlier in a congressional committee....

no fiscal conservative likes what Bush did ....he spent like a democrat....but .....he loves America and its people...
