@IndiaEight5 they did mate....rick rubin liked glenn and samhain but he felt they lacked something....so he said american would sign samhain if he got rid of damien. errie and london......but danzig said he's gotta have eerie.........then it was decided to call the band danzig no matter what the name would be associated with glenn rather than the band........thoise songs on final descent are in fact danzig......someof those samhain songs were recorded during the recording of lucifuge.......

@Scumfuc696 The closest thing there ever was/will be to a new Samhain album was the first Son of Sam album "Songs from The Earth". Totally nailed the Samhain vibe, Danzig even plays guitar and synth on a couple songs. Don't bother with the second SOS album though.
