@futurepotus2024 lol ok there

What a lovely guy, that Rasmussen. But, too bad Sun Jun was injured.

this looks like the easiest sport in the world we used to play this in gym class and i was absolutely nasty. Too bad i had to settle for first team all american in baseball :( lol
-
@superkupper Yes, I saw that entire match... but he didn't use any bad tactics, he only has himself to blame for blowing 8 match points lol I admit it was bad sportsmanship but he didn't try to win badly he just lost the match badly and refused to wear that goofy hat :) But I think he has since cooled down a lot and now after the Gold in Asian Games, he has finally won every major title and I think he's at peace and knows he's one of the best if not the greatest to ever play... you agree?

By the way. Try seaching for Lin Dan - then you´ll see terrible sportsmanship. He´s the best singles player ever, but what a fool.
Take a look at "the craziest matchpoint wins ever"
It´s not to defend the danish double, but as you can see it´s far from all people who shows great sporsmanship on court

@superkupper Well that's the only pair I've seen consistently who has done this and again, its mostly Boe, I've seen him fall down after being hit by a shuttle - even the announcers said "surely it couldn't have hurt that much" - and if you watch many of their matches they do this over and over, and I've watched quite a number of matches and don't recall any other team do this as often as they do, maybe once or twice but they do it all the time and to almost every team EXCEPT Paaske / Rasmussen

@lg123xyz Oh sure I agree on that but now you gave me one example (but a pretty good one). I guess that we just have to accept it as a part of the game. They are no way near the only pair who does this. It doesn´t make it better but I think it shows that a lot of players (not only the danes/this one danish couple) are going to do "whatever" they can to be the best.
-
@superkupper Also just so you don't think its a race thing I also think Ji Xinpeng was lucky in winning Olympic Gold, here's a guy that came out of no where with no pressure and goes on to beat everyone. Then we never hear from him before or since.
-
@superkupper Yes I agree with you that PR was one of the best during that brief period, there were 2 months where I'd even say he was THE best in the world. A perfect example of "a lot of danes will take a win anyway they can get it" would be Mathias Boe/Morgensen men's doubles team, their delay of service tactics (more Boe) where they pretend to be ready then start to fidget at the net in an attempt to throw off their opponents rhythm. I think that's terrible sportsmanship.

@lg123xyz Not exactly but it is not that important to me. My point of defending PR is/was to make it clear that he was one of the best players at that time when he didn´t suffer from injuries. I guess that we can both agree to that statement?
Besides that I´m interested in "a lot of danes will take a win anyway they can get it"? Could you tell me a little more about that and perhaps give a few examples of this? I actually think that the players I know are realistic and shows good sportsmanship.
Looks like u are a great Ras fan. I won't deny that ras was a good player, or a good human being as you've said. I have never seen sun jun playing so badly, so clearly he's injured. You are definitely not a good one as you said that sun jun was playing head games bout his injury. SHAMEFUL. And what's wrong when i said rasmussen was lucky? he indeed admit that he's lucky, cos he's never in sun jun's level!
