  • You can sometimes still get XP OEM from small dealers, who still have it in stock. BUT the problem with a lot of new Vista machines, especially laptops, is that it's impossible to get XP drivers for all of the hardware.

A particular situation I've run across recently with an Acer 6920g laptop. There just is no XP drivers for the Cinedash multimedia control system on this laptop.

  • The best version of Windows EVER was XP. My laptop broke but it was impossible to get a new one with XP on it so I was forced to use Vista.

Problems with Vista? Slower boot-up time, useless Disk Defragmenter, too many security messages, much easier to crash than XP.

Vista is just Windows ME all over again. (Yes I have used ME as well)

The only good thing I would say about Vista is the excellent Bubbles screensaver. And thats it.

  • so how do you exit it geinous?
