The first part is a Flemish song, about a ship sinking in the harbour of Antwerp. The second part is a Scottish (a dance), bij Frédéric Paris - 'Le Canal en Octobre'
A Scottish is a simple partner dance.

  • Such a wonderfully beautiful song. This brings back memories. :)

    Nog een laatste dans...

  • PLEASE can somebody add the lyrics? All I can get is "schip op strand"... And does anyone know the history of this song? - Yes, the Lutine, a French warship given to the English by French Royalists, was wrecked on Terschelling in 1799, as hb4lo wrote.

  • Can anyone supply the lyrics - this is beautiful

  • very nice post!

i love the sound of the flemish songs and the second part is just great
