I am a doctor and this guy's rant about "there is going to be health care" is totally off base. ALL of the reform is for health insurance NOT health care. There is a HUGE difference. If the government thinks it can pass a socialist program and promise everyone health care without even talking to the health care providers you all will be in for a rude awakening when the doctors quit in stead of becoming slaves to the government "best practices" model.

Not true prove your comments. With Unions GM was forced into bankruptcy and innovation has slowed. With unions jobs are sent overseas. Read How Capitalism Saved America

Did you ever notice Joe Courtney's uncanny resemblance to Max Schreck in Nosferatu?

Hmmm ... Looks like Representative Joe Courtney represents people other than his actual constituents. Looks like Joe and his staff invited unionist thugs from OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT and reserved the FIRST TWO ROWS of his "town hall" meeting for them. Maybe Joe thinks his constituents are actually union bosses? Maybe Joe thinks his constituents are in San Fransisco, because he voted with Nancy Pelosi almost every time!!! Who do you really represent, Joe? Not the 2nd District, that's for sure!!

I'm a disabled Vetran..have been for 27 years..Payed my dues and was promised great health care for my service..The VA system is run by the FED..
it is screwed up..long waits and most of the time denial for services until its reviewed..
you could have a heart attack in the waiting room and paperwork has to be filled out before you get help

If a public option with costs spread over all Americans is enacted (all chip in), that will solve a good part of the problem, and motivate private insurers to offer more attractive alternatives to the public option in order to remain competitive. Those who have the most to lose here are corporate insurance companies whose primary responsibility is to make profit for the investors.

That happens when your health insurance is underfunded. When that happens, no private practice will take you and will redirect you to clinics where you have to wait. That's because for a private practitioner, the cost of providing services is higher than what your insurance is willing to pay them. On top of that they have college loans to pay, AND run a business, not a charity.

Wow... love the background behind the representative. Beautiful.

You won't find that many lazy people in this country. They exist, but you won't find that many, not in the middle class anyway.

Does the Federal gov't have the constitutional right to tell me I can't buy health care insurance from whoever I choose? That is what this Obama care bill proposes to tell American's, they can't buy health care from whomever they want. It will require that only the government can provide your health care insurance. Taking your freedom away to choose is not in the constitution. Don't say it doesn't say that in the bill, try reading it. It is in there to take away your freedom to choose.
Agreed Dwimmer13.
My family is about 40% Union members, and all are dissappointed that the Unions are supporting the Dems in lockstep.
Hard working Union members EARN their benefits, so how can they postulate for socialism?
