Franz Schubert :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Quintet for piano, violin, viola, cello & double bass in A major ("Trout"), D. 667 (Op. posth. 114)
Christian Zacharias, piano Leipzig String Quartet (on modern instruments)
@Sshelly34213 let me point out that antisemitism existed hundreds of years before Wagner, Bruckner and even Bach, and it always will, idiots are a natural part of life..
While in my first year at High school c1960 our music teach introduced us to this marvellous instrumental melody He then introduced lyrics that added further interest & insight into the piece. When he immigrated the following year to the USA his replacement was a different kettle of fish (excuse the pun). I wish I'd been more attentative to the lyrics. No unable to recall the lyrics. Any ideas, fellow Youtubers'?
I'd like to point out that there was massive anti antisemitism in Germany before Hitler showed up. Famous composers like Wagner, Liszt and Bruckner were very anti Semitic.
