Great voice and very sad news . Epitomised the 60s for me as a young 12 year old sprog who found magic in the Walker bros, and follow Scott to Tilt and beyond.
PS The announcer is of course Sandie Shaw who I was madly in love with at the age of 9 onwards !
I love this clip. I recorded it on videa years ago, but the tape is well worn and so great to see it again. What a voice this guy had. I know Scott was brilliant, but let's not forget there was another brilliant singer in The Walker Brothers. He is gone too soon. RIP.
This is a great clip, thanks for sharing it. RIP John and sympathies to your family. As usual the press didn't give John a very accurate obituary. They mentioned the obvious, that he was a member of The Walker Brothers and that he had done a 'Silver 60s' tour. In fact, as far as I am aware, John was on a Flying Music 60s tour in 2007 and again in 2009 when he was backed by The Dakotas. Video clips of this are available on You Tube.
