  • There are so many brilliant solutions to cellular misbehavior to be found in nature when two organisms interface like the ants and the fungi. This is a key argument for preservation of habitats and endangered species. What if the Madagascar periwinkle had gone extinct before E. Clark Noble and Robert Laing Noble discovered the vinca alkaloids (1952), now essential drugs in lymphoma and leukemia chemotherapy?
