Are you implying that making algae into bio fuel isn't natural? Most of our oil that we use is from algae, just in a fuel form. The way they make the bio fuel just speeds up the process.

God encourages respecting the ecosystem. Of course the earth is not a deity to be idolized, but its still wise to interface with our planet and become 100% sustainable. Otherwise we shouldn't be allowed to be here in the first place.

I am an algae biofuels researcher, this is a very good investment on the part of the US. It is the only potential avenue biofuels have other than hemp, and we all know hemp will never happen.

"fucking imbeciles who can not grasp the technology and it's potential."

Wrong_ I hope it works, it could work I don't know_ But what I do know is that capital investments into energy companies should be left to individuals with the money they saved, not gov't borrowing money from the future_ Oh yeah... solyndra_

Only reason for people to dislike this is because their are biased and just hate Obama and everything he says, no matter if it's true or not or they are fucking imbeciles who can not grasp the technology and it's potential. It's stupid people like these that halt progress and make changing anything for the better extremely frustrating and slow.

As a researcher who is working on this right now... the product can be made in half the time, with more funding and a more educated public audience.

2 years ago the cost was $40 a gallon, now it's currently at $10 and with further funding and public support that price will decrease as opposed to increase like non-renewables

Algae? Are you fucking kidding me?? Don't get me wrong I think it's a great idea that the White House is looking for other alternatives of energy. However the cost of production to convert algea to fuel is ridiculously expensive. Why can't the White House just focus on Natural Gas and Coal? It's what's working. Not algae... This is by far the most liberal president in all of History. Clinton was 10000000x better than Obama.
