What will we call this class of solar oven or cooker?
Please note that I have made the first clam shaped reflector and used it to cook potatoes in Canada in February 2010. It was part of my exibit at the arts and science fair in Toronto on May 8th 2010
Design reflectors for solar devices with this simple device. I made it to design reflectors for solar cookers. Specifically, I want reflectors for "unattended solar cooking.
Ones that will give predictable power output for a predictable length of time.
This jig is to help people make these type of reflectors.

  • Great ideas... Can you design the template to make these dishes/light tubes so we can use them to makes some test items. You could post the desgin templates somehow. We'll then physically make them to see how well they work in reality. Tx. Bob
