@BassGrindcore hi, seems if you haven't got my posting right :) i am working at HK... we are always interested in what customers would like to have... but on the other side we have to check how the market is... i don't know many people who want to play an 9 string bass... but we have another question for one :) when i'm in office tomorrow i will check what i can do for you... write me an mail to daniel@hk-instruments.de with your imagination of shape color etc...

@DooMDrummer You're welcome, the bass is great! It's the best instrument I've ever owned and one of the best I've ever played. btw, do you know if the guys are HK are taking custom orders? I was thinking about a 9-string in the future, but I haven't seen one on the website or the eBay account. Maybe I should just email them.

@BassGrindcore thats 'octave tapping' you're thinking about :)
-
cool, i didn't know that technique

@pivotguy196 Not really, it isn't slap and pop technique, it's called "typewriter" tap or something like that. It's done with your index, middle and sometimes ring. Check out some cover of Happy? by Mudvayne, in the chorus Ryan does it.

do you mean slap technique?
RATM + Maynard James Keenan + 7-stringed bass = blood spraying from every pore in my body :D
