When visiting Tommy's Aunt Ada in her nursing home, Tuppence encounters some odd residents, Mrs Lancaster, being the strangest of them all. Her incessant reference to 'something behind the fireplace' and a 'poor child' seems at first the incoherent ramblings of an elderly woman, though when Aunt Ada sadly passes away, a painting left to Tommy in her will leads the duo on a dangerous adventure where they finally discover exactly what Mrs Lancaster was talking about.

  • One of my favorites. I have the DVD set but still prefer to watch it here on youtube.

  • @goombabear I have been always a big fan of the newest adaptions, did not know that there are old Miss Marples like Margaret and Joan, i find Joan is the best MM , Margaret is much fun and Geraldine is cute and amusing!

  • I think I'd rather be left on an iceberg when I'm old than go to a creepy nursing home like that. Eeeuu!

  • i do like the alternative titles but it does make it a bit confusing...

  • This is just the best. Amazingly shot, played and done. Bravo to ITV, absolute prime viewing.

  • @jharker45

    Likewise.

  • Horrible pastiche for the American market.

  • Great episode! I love Agatha Christie!! ...Tommy & Tuppence are favorites of mine.

  • @jharker45

I can assure you that they will NEVER put me in a nursing home when I grow old. If they try, I will fight tooth and nail like my late grandmother.

  • @123wickedsweet That's pretty impossible since this was made 30 years after the author's death........

  • @MsVictoria881 Me 2. too bad women dress like trash now.

  • I think I would have enjoyed this more if I hadn't read the book. Now it's just disappointing, because one of the reasons I love the story is because of the relationship between Tommy and Tuppence in the book, which is vastly different from what is depicted in this movie. They were so much more likeable in the book. D=

  • @123wickedsweet How could she? She's been dead for years!
