http://www.wineriff.com/pam-starr-bm06 - Napa Valley winemaker Pam Starr has been making wines for over 25 years. Her portfolio of winery clients she has made wine for reads like a "Who's Who" including such notable wineries as Spottswoode, Sonoma-Cutrer, Edna Valley, and Carmenet.
In 1997 Pam founded a partnership with Charlie Crocker with the goal of crafting a small production of exquisite wines. And so the Crocker & Starr Winery was created, and now is one of the premier wineries located at the historic "Stone Place" site in St. Helena, Napa Valley. Today the winery produces about 2400 cases of three distinct wines including an Estate Cabernet called "Stone Place", an Estate Cabernet Franc, and a Sauvignon Blanc.
Pam saw an opportunity emerge when she along with a number of her friends at other wineries had these barrels of beautiful wines left that did not make it into the final cut for their top-tier wines, which often were in the $100+ per bottle range. So she started a project with a friend and named it Bridesmaid.
