Suggestions as to how to make it better: Increase the angle of your ramp, so that the cubes don't have to "jump" onto the tread. Keep compression of the cube to a minimum to reduce this effect.
Finally, a more positive holding mechanism would be preferable, so that cubes can't get knocked off in competition. 2 treads gripping the cube from the side might work well.

this robot is cool but too complex ... something with a simple design will always have less problems during a competition
