  • Extremely impressed with the 545 brah. what routine have you been using for the nice squat increase? about how wide do you place your feet?

  • @dt76028

Feet are just outside shoulder width. I get the best pop out of the hole with that stance, and I do wear olympic lifting shoes.

Nothing specific for squats, just a lot of ball busting workouts, squatting 2x week. Once I got my 405x15 beltless and started working towards 455x8 beltless, but I wasn't improving fast enough and needed to start handling heavier weights for my meet.

Then I just started working up to 475x5 and 495x3 and such, focusing on moving the weight fast.

  • @dt76028

Heaviest I went before this was 515x2, which I have on video. Otherwise most work was 495 and under. I think training without a belt is awesome and will be doing more high rep training after my meet this weekend and hopefully have 565-585 by the end of the year.

  • LOL. Weights.

  • @KutWhoUp

    lol

  • Good job dude 545 was def good depth and 365 was paused! You are breaking all kinds of PRS!

  • @pbhenry

  • very solid squat

  • awesome job

  • @BombDonald Id hate to see you get red lights due to your tooshy popping up. Heres a suggestion, which you might do already. When incorporating leg drive, focus on driving your hips "back" into your traps, instead of "up" into the air. I think its more effective, and takes away some of the chance of your hips shooting up.

  • @dan200428

Lol that was just a technique error. If I get my feet right my butt can't really come up, plus the benches are kinda short compared to competition benches. Not too worried right now.

405 is definitely starting to come into the picture. Within a year or two hopefully if I can keep things moving.
