Silent Sci-fi movie from 1924 made in the Soviet Union. Based on texts by Tolstoj.

Part 7: Gusev's wife has locked him in to prevent him from going to Mars. Its seems that Kravtsov, the wonnabee secret police agent, has finally got the chief of the milita to give him a warrant for arresting the murderer of Mrs Los. Kravtsov is stuck in the traffic but arrives in time and finds a new piece of evidence: The remaining glove of Mr Los. (The other glove was found at the scene of the crime).
The spaceship takes off for Mars. On board are Gusev, Kravtsov and Engeneer Los (disguised as Spiridonov, his former assistant who has left the country). The Martian elders want to destroy the arrivers, but their queen, Aelita, wants to save them...
