Edited down story of the Lombard RAC Rally 1990.The first RAC to have full event pace notes.Kankkunen,Sainz already crowned world champion, could have stayed away, but decided to still enter one of his favourite rallies.

  • I used to watch these programmes obsessively over and over again when I was little - to the point that even now, 21 years later, I can even remember some parts of the commentary by heart. Quite scary considering I was only four when they were broadcast.

  • Rallying back then was soo much better than rallying now

  • A f*in disgrace that this event no longer exists. A week of peak bbc1 time, now it's over befor it's started. I have spent many freezing hours in Grizedale waiting for this and now we're lucky to get 30 seconds on the news. Thanks for bringing it all back.

  • That change wasnt short lived :)
