Introducing the PeliCan Vac

The PeliCan Vac is an attachment, designed and developed by Roy Gripske & Sons Pty Ltd, which transforms a conventional hand held leaf blower, into a high performance, heavy duty vacuum cleaning unit.

Capable of being powered by any 1.0 HP light weight engine or electric motor, the PeliCan Vac delivers impressive suction performance, enabling it to safely lift and collect a wide range of materials, including heavy and larger waste and debris items, including bottles and cans weighing up to 0.5 lbs. / 250 gms.

The heavy and large debris items collected by the PeliCan Vac, are securely held in a durable 36 litre capacity moulded catcher for subsequent disposal or recycling, without manual contact by the operator. Smaller and lighter materials collected, such as leaves, grass clippings and paper are collected in the small fabric bag.

Careful attention to the ergonomic aspects of the PeliCan Vac design has produced the patented "Quick Couple" feature, which enables conversion between blower and vacuum modes to be made almost instantaneously. The unit is self standing, and also incorporates design features which provide effortless quick release removal and re-connection of the catcher, as required.

The features and attributes of the PeliCan Vac make it a flexible and versatile tool for use in commercial and other site cleaning operations at domestic, sporting and entertainment venues, where access by larger equipment is not possible or convenient.

The enclosed and durable design and construction of the PeliCan Vac are particularly important in any circumstances where waste collection may involve the risk of operator exposure to hazardous materials or items.

Independent tests have shown that the high performance Pelican Vac unit clearly outperforms its' back pack counterparts, and will thus bring significant time and cost savings to users.

Developed under assistance from Australian Government AUSINDUSTRY R&D programmes, the technology, operational principles, and component designs incorporated in the PeliCan Vac are fully protected worldwide by appropriate patents and design registrations (4).
