Mel Gibson just doesn't get it. Jesus was Jewish. His disciples were Jewish. The New Testament was written by Jews. Most of Christianity doesn't get it. Both Jesus talked about one fold and one shepherd with the gentiles coming into that sheepfold. Paul wrote that gentile branches will be grafted into the Jewish olive tree. The New Covenant of Jeremiah 31 is given to Israel forever. Jesus is returning to Jerusalem, not Rome. Jesus never came to create a new religion called "Christianity."
