Tibetans get an EASY ride. In many aspects.

About school: Did you ever study in school 14hr/day? Everyday! Did you see school dorms where happy childhood pass by? I just saw a week ago. a US jail looks like a resort!

Kids jump off the buildings because of pressure of cut-throat competition to get into college and have a normal life.

Tibetans and other minorities get a very easy ride since their gaokao score threshold is much lower.

Most westerners think the one child policy is ridiculous. So that's a moot point. Also where the hell are you pulling your information from? Some Tibetans spend just as much effort into studying as some chinese. It's not a cultural boundary. Are you saying tibetans are lazy and get a free ride? Because that's also ridiculous. In America are Tibetans get into the best universities as well, on merit. It's just a matter of who is more dedicated or smarter. It has nothing to do with ethnicity.
