Glenn Beck Tax Day Tea Party at Alamo Opening 4/15/09

America is sick and tired of government overspending, borrowing, wasting, and overtaxing on top of it all.

Enough already. More massive spending and borrowing to "fix" a problem CAUSED by too much spending and borrowing DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

It's like, you have 10 maxed out credit cards. What are you going to do???!!?? Oh I got it! I'll get 10 MORE credit cards! Um... Not so bright.

If any of you MORONS think the Tea Parties are just a Republican thing, look at THIS: http://hotair.com/archives/2009/04/18/video-gop-rep-who-voted-for-tarp-booed-...

  • This video comments page will not be the host of namecalling and mindless cursing. Go elsewhere for that. If you have intelligent input on either side of the debate, great. But comments with namecalling, cursing every third word will get blocked and deleted. Grow up.

  • Bottom line, and maybe you should begin to understand what I am saying. It doesn't matter if its the private sector or the government, they will raise their prices on you. You will pay more. Look at parking in Chicago. It was sold to private contractors and has gone up of 40%, some areas more. Whine about unions all you want, how'd you enjoy Thanksgiving Day? How about Friday after? If you don't work you have them to thank along with many other benefits you get.

  • @TheRationalBeing i forgot its bad to make a profit in the USA not much difference between liberals and organized crime if you make money they want a cut for doing nothing ..hard working people living in poverty yep? raising taxes is not the solution libbers wonder why it don't work their excuse is that they haven't tried long enough DEMOCRATIC Illinois infested by liberals are doubling my tolls my water bill went up

    read below vvv

  • GOV Quin raised income tax from 3% to 5%, my property tax goes up even though the values has gone down Illinois ,,,108 billionin debt The average Chicago household now owes a staggering $63,525 to cover local government debt like cushy union thug pensions

  • @why760nitro Whatever the case, telling me to open my own shop doesn't address the problem of Americans working 40 hours a week and still living in poverty. The worker suffers, the government has an added burden, all the while the company scores with profits and low to no taxes. Sounds like a winning formula.

Hard working people living in poverty. Address that situation and maybe you will find a way to shrink the government.

  • @TheRationalBeing the market will pay what the market will bear if you dont like your shit wage go start a business in your garage like bill gates and steve jobs did .. if you think your paying to much for a starbuck coffee and biscotti open a coffe house and charge 1/2 the price and still make a good profit ,,nobody is stopping you

  • @why760nitro And that's just one company. This use of public money happens with many other large corps. Add to it that these retailers pay shit wages which equal less income tax and you get a double whammy. Not to mention any tax to be paid by said corporations is passed on to the consumer. My initial question: "Does anyone see a problem with giving the rich the tax breaks after they create jobs instead of giving it to them hoping they will." Answer that.

  • @why760nitro Since you brought up Illinois. Why don't you do your own research. Look at Walmarts for example, there are over 150 of them in Illinois. No property taxes paid. Some keep the sales tax on products. Most have gotten direct subsidies that came from public funds to build their stores, pay for their land, and generate start up. Now take that against the small businesses who failed because they couldn't afford to sell as cheap as Walmart because of taxes they pay an Walmart doesn't.
