Boston Tea Party re-enactment Honolulu

Annual re-enactment of Boston Tea Party that celebrates the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Consitution and the Bill of Rights on the square-rigger "Falls of Clyde" at Aloha Market Tower.

Boston Massacre - the term used by angry colonists for a clash with British troops in 1770 that left five colonists dead. A group of some 50 colonists was taunting the soldiers and throwing snowballs when shooting broke out. The British blamed the incident on the American colonists. Colonists eager to push for a break with England called it the Boston Massacre and made it a symbol of their cause.

"People feel empowered for the first time; they are feeling that their voice matters - that they can say things," added Mr. Salam, whose recent book, "Options for Lebanon," is the best road map you will find for thinking through how democracy may emerge there. "It is not yet victory, but for the first time in a very long time, people are feeling, 'I can make change.' And there is a real sense of fraternity and unity."

The "Tea Party" is nothing more than The Republicans 're-branding' themselves after 2008.

This tea party has nothing to do with the original one. That was about "taxation without representation", being taxed by England but having no say in where the money went, and no one to represent them.
