  • did you use boot camp

  • Yes.

Well... this was one year ago, I believe it even was the boot camp beta on Tiger (10.4) back then. Have same setup now with Leopard and works really smoothless. But you really need to make up your mind how big your Windows partition needs to be. Resizing (making it bigger) afterwards did not quite work for me. Had to re-install both Mac OS and Windows after I figured 15 GB is not enough for Vista.

  • smoothless?

  • whoops I meant smoothly. Freudian slip I guess :-)

  • Will you please stop complainig "you must be stoopid instaling Windoze on a Macz blah". I use Mac OS most of the time but I need Windows for work purposes (programming) and gaming - and I don't see why I should install a six year old OS (XP). By the way, Windows won't install viruses by itself, most of the time, the problem sits in front of the scrren - visiting pr0n sites and opening „image.jpg.exe" mail attachments. So please cheer up everybody, it's my machine and I know what I'm doing :-P

  • how do you do that i have vista ultimate running on my mac mini core duo 1.83ghz 1.00gb ram intel GMA 950 graphics with Areo effects

  • Get the "Windows Dreamscene" extra via Windows Update. (It's exclusive to Vista Ultimate and requires Aero to run - which you both have)

  • If only they made an update that used the xp operating system with the vista look. Even if you hate vista, you have to admit it looks good.

  • I love windows, and I love macbook pros. This is like...orgasmic.

  • @Lomns if you're using a crappy Eeepc

  • @omfgwowlolusuck so, you like a bad OS in a bad computer... You've taken the 2 worst things and put it together... The only good thing of MACs is the OS, the only good thing in PCs are the machines... even if Mac's OS can'tplay games and is a total failure in security...

  • macs can run windows better than a pc can.. and i am a pc user at that..

  • Yes. Apple did one of their "im a mac and im a pc" ads all about how vista was proven to run faster using a macbook. pwned.

  • It is. The MacBook Pro was proven to run Windows Vista faster than any other Windows Vista laptop not made by Apple.

  • That Vista OS is running pretty damn good. Mac really must be the best Vista machine :P
