Here's To You My Long Lost Friend

There's nothing more valuable than a friend. I've been fortunate to have a lot. I wrote this song about two of those friends. My best friend Mark Dinwiddie from when we were 12-14. And Bob Magee, a mentor of mine who had a huge impact on a lot of young people's lives including mine (when I was young). After about 40 years, I was trying to reconnect with Mark when I heard that he had passed away. It kills me that we never got to visit and reminisce. We definitely had some stories. I had just had lunch with Bob shortly before he died. We had a great time. My advice? Find your old friends while you can. Could there be anything better?
