About the background of this song
In China, there is a legendary love story about Liang ShanBo and Zhu YinTai. In old China, girls could not go to school like men to have normal education. The girl Zhu YinTai persuaded her parents and dressed like a young boy to go to outside city to have normal education with other boys. She and the young man Liang ShanBo were classmates. Liang treated YinTai as his little brother and took care of her. YinTai falled in love with Liang and tried every way to give him a hint that she was a girl. Eventually Yintai had to return home and Liang knew the truth later. Liang also loved YinTai. But YinTai family did not approve the marriage. Liang missed her so much and got sick. Liang died later. Yintai died with him. They became two butterflies flying freely as lovers forever. This love story has been on the stage, in the movie, in the concert and at everywhere in China. This song is a new song edited from old music LiangZhu. But the song gives new meaning which hopes all the couples who love each other truly should be together forever and fly like two butterflies freely and happily together.
