Mew Mew Power (English) Episode 1/12: Part 3

This is the last part of Episode 1 of Tokyo Mew Mew in English. The English dub title of the show is Mew Mew Power.
In chronological order this is the 12th episode but 4Kids made this into the first episode which caused a lot to be cut out and edited(including causing the whole episode ending to be changed).

Elliot and Wesley tell the Mew Mews that Dren infused 5 of the oldest cherry trees in the city and that they will spread poison at midnight. The Mew Mews now have to destroy the trees but if they don't do all 5 at once, then their combined powers will cause an explosion powerful enough to destroy the city. After the fight, Mark discovers Zoey's identiy. Will he accept her the way she is?

The English dub completely changes the music score so the background music is complete different from the original Japanese music. Also, almost all of the dialogue is completely different from it's original English translation.

Names were also changed in the English version. The name changes are:

Yep. 4Kids made this into the first/pilot episode to introduce viewers to all of the characters then changed the events in this episode and others to make it as though this episode never happened. But I can assure you it's the first. All MMP DVDs I own list it as such.

Although, due to how confusing it was, some countries (like the UK for example) never aired it XD.

This was episode 12 originally. All of the parts you complained about were because of the edits 4Kids made to the show. 4Kids did it because they thought more viewers would watch if they started off with an episode with all of the girls in it.

You're a little over 5 years too late. It's been off the air since 2006 and only 26 episodes were dubbed(the original Japanese version had 52 episodes).
