  • i always just use those little gel burners. it takes about 12 minutes to boil water but it doesnt bother me. u can get 2 gels from walmart for like $3 and each will burn for 2 1/2 hours. nice set up tho

  • Regular pop can stove, burning 91% rubbing alcohol got a 9 minute serious rolling boil, in 40 degree temperatures. Use aluminum foil to cover the canteen cup. Holds the heat in!

  • Thanks. Should look into healthy food to cook though. Check out raw legumes, like green lentils, chick peas, green pies, etc.. I soak them overnight (weck pot/jar method), poor out water, then cooking doesn't have to take as long as without the soaking. I understand that isn't convenient in all situations, but it's a lot healthier for sure then all this processed crap that totally doesn't have any real nutritious value. I haven't seen any survivalist cooking healthy. Food vs Nutrition.

  • very nice, but your alcohol stove seems extremely ineffective if it uses that much heat. your probably better off with just a cat stove. You only need one ounce of fuel to burn two cups in about 8-10 minutes

  • hi great vid i subbed.

    Luke.

  • when you use the desert storm stove for your canteen just spin it around... the same way you put your canteen in the stove is almost the same way you use it all you do is spin the thing around then drop in your fuel and lite it.. i use the little holes at the bottom to let the flame into the stove to lite the fuel... take care..

  • will camp fuel work

  • well done really enjoy your vids keep up the great work..safe journeys
