Steve Finley hits walk off grand slam to win National League West title. Trailing 3-0 going into the bottom of the 9th inning against the rival San Francisco Giants, the Dodgers rally to tie the score at three before Steve Finley sends the Dodgers to the postseason with his grand slam.

It was (and still is) the biggest "Fuck You" to the San Francisco Giants we could ever send them in this decade. Sadly those damn Gnats won the WS in 2010...but this was a great day. Took us 53 years, but we finally responded to the "Shot Heard Round The World" with this blast! GO DODGERS!!!!!

As an Astros fan, I liked to thank the Dodgers for beating the Giants that day, because had you not done so, the Astros and Giants would've played 163 games that season.

i remember walking through a plaza and in my local sports apparel/gear store they had this game playing. everyone stopped by just to watch the rest of the game and everyone's fist were in the after steve connected. magical moment

I was at this game. I was 12 then, and it's still one of the most memorable games I've ever attended.

To SuperDodgerslakers....It was 3-3 in the bottom of the 9th, bases were loaded cause the SF shortstop booted a double play. Then Finley, (who had plagued the Giants for years) hit a granny and finished them off!!

I remember watch this in the bottom 9 inning at my friend's home. We are trailing by 3-0 . We comeback and beat Giants 7-4 with 1 out clinch national west title champion. Next day, Giants failed to clinch the berth of wild card when Houston Astros won earlier in the game. Giants eliminated from the playoff. It wass the good season for dodgers. I will never forget this game in my life. Lets go Dodgers!!!
