my god, here in maryland once every seven years
it's crazy, and i really hate it
because one time my neighbor put a hedless one in my hair
and it was still alive

That was amazing! Most of the ones I saw were lying around already dead, but I still saw a few live ones. It was so cool

Should of been up by Chicago a month or two ago, the 17-year cicadas came out by the millions. There were soooo many...everywhere@!#

When they're more active than this they are no fun to experience. Almost got them caught in my piled up hairdo when I graduated from grade school in 1970! It was the year of the 17-year locust at the time.
