  • Well, he did grow up in England. He was raised by Americans, though.

  • Denisof appeared with Sean Bean in three episodes of Sharpe as Lord John Rossendale.

  • His accent in the show was excellent especially in Angel. When he arrived in Buffy

he was OTT on purpose a satire of a boarding school toff.

  • Alexis real accent is really transatlantic, he spent 16 months living in London from late teens to late twenties. I'm English, I think he did a really good english accent, much better than most American's. I actually think when his doing an American accent, that sounds fake

  • well most of the fake british accents in buffy are annoying, aprt from spikes. the slayers in series 7 epically annoyin we dont talk like that

    lol

  • Bloody hell, I always thought he was English O_O

  • yer, i know, im english too. i h8 it when americans say 'british' as in english, lol, its just funny sometimes (no offense peeps) =)

  • i think his british accent is bad..

    as i AM 'british'

(that whole phrase irritates me, as i am ENGLISH not british)

and my accent, and nobody else i know has an accent like Wesley's in angel.

but that aside, he's a great actor :)

  • That's putting it mildly, spamvicious, and I often wondered why no one asked him to help James Marsters with the things HE kept getting wrong in the accent (or Tony Head during Spike's Buffy days).

But remember that went to Drama School here (England) then stayed and had a stage career for years. It was during a trip back 'home' that Tony Head told him about the part of Wesley coming up. He had to re-learn his U.S. accent.
