Al's been married a decade now. I can't help but wonder if every time he's written a love song in the last ten years (because his style hasn't changed since this song came out in 1986, really, as a listen to every album since Poodle Hat, which came out when he and his wife were dating quickly proves), he has to turn to his wife and say "This song isn't about you, honest!"
