Well to answer why it is so disliked: it's a matter f taste right?
To me this was the worst. Why do we care about the graphics? because the graphics made it feel less.. 'monkey' :)
To me it was an obvious rush to 3D..
Not to mention that the story is forgettable, i had to come watch the videos to remember what the game was about
But tales of monkey island.. now we're talking of good 3d ;)

Noone should hate this game, if they do, GTFO monkey island games. This games quality just like the rest!

@XenoXray I liked it too, but for pc users, the conrols were a bit akward and the monkey kombat was really hard to understand.
