  • After Watson reads his story and awaits Holmes`s verdict, this verdict isone of the finest pieces of timing/acting i have seen (from around 3:09)

  • Sherlock Holmes is apparently aware of the fourth wall, right at 4:10. =P

  • Brett and Burke.. Legends

  • miss. hunter was very beautiful

  • Love is blind and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some may say that I am an ugly cow, while others beg to differ.

  • jeremy brett's excellent performance as always

  • @peymaania Ugly cow?! I can't believe I'm honoring that with a response but sheesh. Even the remark that you don't find the real daughter particularly attractive would be kind of pointless but a cruel insult like that is quite out of place. I take it you wouldn't cross a roof to rescue a person who was being unjustly held, if you knew the person wasn't beautiful? Lol pathetic.

  • Respond to this video... this is my favorite episode right here sherlock holmes and dr.watson are on the case yea buddy :)

  • @peymaania love is not always about beauty. If only beauty could inspire true love Hollywood would not be full divorces and breakups

  • Whilst I can't fault JB's Sherlock, I don't get much warmth or chemistry from the Holmes/Watson dynamic here. I know there scenes together are kind of bickery in this story, but I don't the impression of an underlying affection with these two. I understand there was another actor who played Watson opposite Brett?

Otherwise a prettty solid adaptation. This would be such a great story to turn into a gothic Turn Of The Screw type film.

  • I don't get all of Watson's waving while reading. lol Thanks Memoriel for sharing this with us. :) Songs

  • @silverbud Unhapilly, I must agree with you, though the phrase which finishes zygote245's comment (beginning, 'Dr Watson should have said ...') is, I think, peculiar to one part of the Americas! On another matter, I see that I wrongly named the character 'Ruecastle' (not sure of the spelling) as 'Ruecroft,' which must be due to 'incipient decay of the brain,' as they used to say, on my part.
