BOSTON BRAD DELP LAST CONCERT 11/06 PT 1

This is part one of three videos. I shot the following video at Brad Delp's last performance with his band Boston. I live in Danvers Mass, where Brad grew up. Brad had one of the greatest voices in rock and roll. I had the chance to meet him several times when he played with Beatlejuice. Also, I had the good fortune to catch Boston live several times over the years. Like many, I identified with Boston, and was deeply saddened by the news of Brad's passing.
A little piece os all of us died when Brad went away. He was one of the nicest guys in rock and roll. He had no ego, and he gave of himself until it hurt. I am glad that I have this opportunity to share this piece of his last performance with Boston. Brad, thank you for what you have contributed to our lives. I am sure that I will see you smiling and playing on the other side. TJ Welch

Dear TJ, Glad you liked it. I still have a half dozen more, if I ever get to posting them.

The photo was taken in Beverly Ma in the old NS Community College downtown. The gig was recorded at Castle Hill in Ipswich Ma. I'm still teaching in the same Saugus location and have a weekly Jazz Jam.

I saw Boston at Starwood ampitheater in Nashville 16 years ago. I gotta tell ya it felt like being in a dream. May very well be the best show I've ever been to. I remember being a teen driving around in the summer time with the top down on my little MG Midget jamming out to Brad and Boston. Good memories man.. good memories. Hope Brad finally found the peace he was looking for. It eludes so many of us.
