A few polls?More publications voted florida nc,than byu.Stripped or not,they were still voted national champions in 1984.The investigation against pell,had already concluded before the 84 season.Florida IS the 1984 and 85 sec champs,AND 1984 national champions.Simple as that

@TheGatorfan93 the Gators were ineligible for a bowl game because of an NCAA probation. a few polls ranked the Gators number one at the end of the 1984 season, but the SEC stripped them of the "title". therefore, the Gators did not win any national championship in 1984 your first official national title was the 1996 team..
