@TheFootegirl73 Part II They must understand that many small businesses feel the consequences of corporate greed first. Consider the number of family owned and operated businesses, based on the purest form of capitalism, that have been bankrupted and gone out of business just from the building of one Wal-mart in their town. I watch these people in their name brand clothes or Walmart finest, with their gadgets all made in China and wonder what is wrong with this picture?
@Colombiafreak29 I have also attended a few as an observer and have heard a great deal of discussion of a redistribution of wealth. I understand there is an economic gap and corruption must stop, I agree. However, I see many people at my local occupy whom are anti-capitalists not anti-corporatism. It is the corporations, big banks, and the federal reserve they should be trying to take down instead of small business and capitalism in its purest form. cont sry...
@TheFootegirl73 Though Occupy isn't really targeting you, they're promoting small businesses to emerge, the main point that I've gathered from interviews, shows & actually attending the protest (as an observer) is that they want corruption to end. Not so much that all big companies are evil, rather than owners of company's are paying politician's to do what they want, which ultimately leads to downfall, if one group has a lot of wealth over the other, the economy won't circulate efficiently
Not mad, saddened and disillusioned. I thought Tom knew his enemy, so to speak. He can have any opinion he likes and I can lose respect for him when he equates himself to what is continually growing into a socialist/communist agenda group. Have any opinion you like, but I enjoy being a small business co-owner and have no desire to have to give what I earn to the government "for the greater good" of anyone I do not personally choose to give my earnings to.
@Colombiafreak29 Occupy is not "RAGING" against "the machine" it is demanding the machine to make some adjustments for "the greater good" and begging/asking the machine to give them more.
