  • Holy crap, that menu is messed up! Just use the default GNOME environment that comes with ubuntu!

  • i just DON'T see a reason why would anyone use windows on netbooks. i mean there is an excuse for (powerful) desktops.. the most important one is gaming, and some editing tools(photoshop,3d tools). since you won't be using photoshop, or doing 3d on that netbook (let alone play games) there is just NO excuse to NOT try free operating system. Yeah, it can be hard to master it like windows, but face it..all u will be doing on a netbook is browsing the web, and messaging.. not worth extra 70 bucks.

  • Hey dell vlog do you know where can get a 200 dollar or less laptop its my birthday and im wondering what to buy

  • @calloway322 9.04 runs like crap on the 10v

  • @augustofretes

yes...limewire and frostwire (better in my opinion) work fine in linux

  • @flemeister

9.04 is not a LTS version

  • this would be the.... ubuntu netbook remix???

i'm trying to install ubuntu on a HP mini laptop... should i download the "ubuntu netbook remix" or the normal one???

  • @likestomakevids The examples you give show your glaring computer ignorance. itunes has been garbage for awhile, and Windows (HACK ME BECAUSE I'M FULL OF HOLES) Live Messenger, aren't examples to use windows.......

  • linux sucks ok you cant use itunes or window live messenger i know that your not meant to but still so get windows 7

  • Linux is not a life without windows, is just another better world :)

  • I'm not sure if you have used Linux but

Linux is free, and has been around for some time...

I've used most of the Linux distributions there are 100's of them...

Linux Mint is also good for new people to Linux... or gOS , MoonOS, Yoper Linux....

Google "Comparison of Linux distributions" wiki has a really long list of Linux distributions ... :)

  • Very cool. Life without Windows. I like it.
