A timelapse video of the Panama canal taken in May 2006. The views are taken from the webcams on the Panama canal website.
2 days & 5 hours is speeded up to 6½ minutes. An hour of real time passes in 8 seconds.
This is a busy place which works 24 hours a day.
Note the large red & white ship which is pulled over to the side after going through the locks, and also the little tug boats which shove the huge ships into position.
Wow, I've been trying to do something like that, but can't seem to get beyond capturing each frame by hand.
Please tell us how you captured the frames (.jpg) and how you compressed them into the video.
Thanks very much!
Puzzled,

Get software which will capture screenshots of your screen every x number of seconds while you are connected to the website. The fewer snaps taken per minute will mean a faster timelapse. Remeber though that if you want to capture footage over a few days like this video it means you can't use your computer for anything else!
Then load the pics into a video editing program & add the music.
