My great grandfather fought for the German army, and he's still alive. But you know what? He was a conscript. So were all of his friends. His friends who were killed by allied soldiers, whose wives were raped by Russian soldiers. My Great Grandfather does not like what he did, and he hated it while he was doing it. Both sides were terrible, just remember that the victors write the history books, asshole.

@DeformedMelonFilms not 99.9% but deffinetly a very large part of the army, the ones responsable for most of the atrocities were the SS troops.

I find this bit the saddest because 99.9% of the Wehrmacht were exactly the same as our guys, not wanting to fight or die. Barely any of them shared the ideals that Hitler and his officers believed in.
