Furball Pet Friends presents - Kitten Catchers Malibu Feral Cats Vlog 1. A colony of 9 feral kittens are living in Malibu California. One Mother cat that has had 2 litters. The first litter was born last summer and the are 3 cats from that litter.

WE believe one of those cats (Nala) may be is pregnant.

The Mother cat surprised everyone on Mother's Day with 5 new kittens. It is time to stop more babies from being born. Even though we have never done this before, we are going to learn how to trap feral cats.

Learn with us as we Trap, Neuter, Return the adult cats. Trap pregnant Nala and cage her until she has her kittens.
We think we may be able to tame her because she is not scared of humans. And we find homes for all the adorable kittens.

The Stray Cat Alliance will loan us 4 traps. Stay tuned to Kitten Catchers and watch the fun

I prefer to TNS (trap-neuter-shelter) rather than TNR (trap-neuter-return). The problem with TNR is that feral cats are an invasive species and they kill off indigenous wildlife such a songbirds. By trapping, neutering, and sheltering you are providing an enclosed habitat where they can live out their lives and not predate on the local wildlife. If you really love animals, all animals, TNS is the better way to go.

@rodeocowgirlboots The trapper who trained us told us either way was good, though she prefered towel in place and to have the trap prepared before she put it out. (prepare traps else where so kittens don't see it.) The towel helps keep the kitten calm after it is trapped. Bless you tonight! Let us know what happens!
