I was with a friend in Kowloon in 1982 that had a similar experience but maybe worse. He bought an SLR camera, paid for it and got a receipt. The clerk then went to the back and brought him back a camera body and that was all. No lens, case, strap or battery. Obviously my friend was outraged but there was nothing he could do about it! You have to be totally specific about what you're buying and even then you never know whether you'll get screwed. HK is notorious for things like this!

These guys are assholes. That's why you have to stay away from those flashy camera shops in Hong Kong.
