Its 6 AM and my feathered family is still sleeping.

This is how I keep my bird room warm!

I'm using (3) 40w Reptile Heat Bulbs in a 24 by 12 sq ft area, and they are working great! Without the bulbs my birds room would be in the mid 30s to low 40s and being that my aviary is part of and open to our home, when its cold out there, its also cold inside.

Current Temp: 63 Degrees.

I think 63 degrees is a little warm for night time temps, cockatiels can tolerate much lower temps, but at least my little friends are very comfortable. However, please keep in mind we live in the desert region of the US, in which summer temps can reach 128 degrees from mid July though Aug., so anything below 50 degrees is too cold for my birds, we are just not accustom to the low temps.

Normal Temps for happy Cockatiels:
(Day) 75 Degrees Our bird can tolerate temps up to 100 comfortably
(Night) 55 to 60s Degrees I dont let my bird room get any colder than 50 degrees
