LYNAS PROTEST DURING CHUA SOI LEK AND LIM GUAN ENG DEBATE

During the Chua Soi Lek/ Lim Guan Eng debate, a group of malaysians decided to voice out their concerns. Shouting "Stop Lynas, Stop Cynide, Stop Corruption and Save Jalan Sultan" they stood strong from 5pm to almost 7pm outside the entrance of Berjaya Times Square.Chua Soi Lek opted not to see the protesters and walked out another door but Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang happily came to shake hand and listen to the protestors.

The longer the half-life of a substance, the less its radioactivity

LEAD-208 WHICH IS USED IN YOUR CAR BATTERIES HAVE AN EVEN LONGER HALF LIFE OF 19 MILLION BILLION YEARS AND AS SUCH IS REGARDED AS NON-RADIOACTIVE i.e. it decays extremely slowly and therefore the radioactivity is incredible low

So it's silly and illogical to say that thorium-232 long half life of 14 billion years means that it is dangerous. It means that it is only very weakly radioactive and can be safely held in your hands
