I'm sure Navy Seal training is tougher than TBS. I've never been to either one, but I have the impression Seal 'candidates' have it a lot worse

You're comparing totally different concepts. SEAL training is Spec Ops. The program for that specific MOS requires 30 months, and officers and enlisted train together - they do not spend every single day in the "Hell Week" phase as Hollywood portrays. TBS is Marine Officer Training. We have all completed the grueling physical aspect (OCS - 10 weeks) and here we learn to lead Marines and fight with every weapon from hands to air strikes. Every MOS from infantry to lawyers must attend.

Politicians blame, reporters bitch, and liberals whine over a macchiato. They like to throw a concert or do a "Special Report," but never have I known any of these organizations to get their hands dirty, put some sweat into the game, or even risk their lives to make the situation better. That type of sacrifice is something Danny obviously lacks the heart to understand. And these tough guy Danny boys of the world bitch away, online, to soothe their guilt of inaction. Pathetic.

Every MOS, specialty...SF force works for the basic rifleman in US military doctrine.

The rifleman is the tip of the spear, everyone else is second.

people dont understand that the basic school is not supposed to be like boot camp. the weeding out process happened back at ocs. the point of the basic school is to teach every marine officer how to lead the basic infantry platoon into battle. every marine a rifleman, every marine officer an infantry platoon commander. whether you are a freakin desk jockey, the corps expects you to be able to lead a platoon if needed.

@joebadself I guess in the intro you mentioned that TBS was the "toughest training" in the world. Ignorant people will automatically assume you mean purely physical. You and I both know that it's not just the physical that makes TBS tough, but many other things that we do throughout the whole course.

grunts are the frontfighters while SF merely provide us with intel

SF are just cannon fodder
