Yep, we live in an Eichler neighborhood. Not much for space or storage but it will do.
-
Yes you should do your research. Joseph Eichler was the builder, not the designer/architect..
-
Here in Orange County we have three Eichler tracts. One each in the cities of; Tustin, Orange and Villa Park! :-)
-
eichler was a developer -- the architect was the firm of anshen and allen -- there are MANY resources, even right here on youtube on eichler, including a short documentary on eichler himself which provides much detail rather than your ridiculous shaky video....

one-story houses are great....you have a cute voice.

Eichler didn't know a hammer from a nail. He'd sold the family grocery business & briefly rented a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in San Mateo. Two of his architects, Robert Anschen & A. Quincy Jones, combined the Usonian prairie house with the post & beam construction of Mies Van Der Rohe's Farnsworth House. But many of the Eichler signature homes were built around novelty atriums. They pioneered pre-fab & eco-friendly design. But the space emphasized homemaking & childcare needs.
