Read her book. She speaks about the medias role in promoting single motherhood. Your mom has to be a strong woman in order to raise three children, by herself. But, fathers should be encouraged to stick around. In your case, your father died. Which is a tragedy. Her book speaks about the media, making it "cool" to be a single mother. But, read her book. It's a good read.

Once again, someone not getting the point. Did you mother make a conscious decision to be a single mother? Sounds like probably not. What she was eluding to was the modern pop culture take on single motherhood, and the glamorization of it. Not single mothers who were made to be in that situation. You just hate her because shes conservative, admit it to yourself first.

Coulter is so right. Like Islamics, Liberals think only they are allowed hate speech. Look at the hate speech laws for crying out loud. Look at the Netherlands today post Fitna. It's obvious, liberals hate truth and cry like a 6 month old baby with a wet diaper at the hint of truth.

If you read the book instead of spewing your offense at what you THINK her point is, you'd realize she excluded children of widows and widowers, and of divorce. Her main point was against women choosing to be pregnant without a father in the picture.
So before you get all "low and mighty" using your sob story to fling mud at her, realize that's not even the point she was making!!
