@ActorFlautista I think I hit it a few times but I have to work my away up to it. I'm not a tenor or a bass. Should I try to expand up or down?

@wavepsychic Yes.

@ActorFlautista Is that the F above middle C?
-
@wavepsychic I absolutely understand. That's the thing with scores being SATB style. But from what you told me I believe you are closer to tenors than to basses. You might be a baritenor. Here is a recommendation: Go to a piano, and try both parts. Try that tenor F. If you feel like you are dying when you reach that note don't try it because you would be straining your vocal chords. Just test yourself. I mean, don't hurt yourself. Just expand the range and sing the part you feel most comfy in.

@ActorFlautista If it's to low i can't hit it. If it's to high I can't hit it either. I'm trying to expand my range. At my church there's a song that we might not do because there is a tenor part with a high F or high E (top line). No body can hit it and since I seem to always be singing higher then the rest of the guys I want to sing it! But either I can't or no one is listening to me when I try! and a girl fainted today so we stopped practice.
Also their is a very low note I can't hit either!

@wavepsychic Sing the part you feel most comfortable with. You have no problem in singing high, like us tenors, then try the tenor part. If you can't reach high notes easily then bass part will be easier to sing. It all depends, you may be a baritone but you can sing as a baritenor or baribass.

Tenors are the force and power of this song!

@DLSBaseball33 true dat
@operazanotaijin tenor is the hardest part in any choir. we can go as low as a bass or as high as a soprano. i respect basses but tenor is the hardest part
